Can’t I just find this information online for free?
You can find just about anything online these days, but that doesn’t mean the information is actually valuable! One of the reasons I created this boot camp is because there is so much incorrect information out there about healthy eating. My goal is to educate you about the importance of nutrition and living a healthy lifestyle.
What is my background? I am a Registered Dietetic Technician and founder of The Food Cop. I am also a Certified LEAP (Lifestyle Eating and Performance) Therapist, Certified U.S. Diabetes Conversation Map Facilitator, and award-winning writer. I've been featured in numerous publications, including U.S. News & World Report, Parenting OC magazine, and the Orange County Register.
I have undergraduate degrees in Dietetics and Journalism. In addition, I have served as the dietary supervisor at a long term care/skilled nursing facility and also have experience working in the nutrition department at acute care hospitals.

When does the boot camp start? As soon as you sign up, which could be NOW! My Nutrition Boot Camp is self-paced so you can start any time you want, but the sooner, the better! Don’t forget you have lifetime access to My Nutrition Boot Camp!
Do I need any equipment? No, there is no required equipment for My Nutrition Boot Camp. However, because much of the boot camp is focused on managing your body fat, it would be very helpful if you had a way to test your body fat percentage. Most gyms will test your body fat for you. However, if you do not belong to a gym or do not wish to have your gym test your body fat, it is recommended that you purchase body fat calipers or a body fat scale. These items are available online and in many sporting goods stores.
Can teenagers or children join? While this boot camp is designed for adults, many of the concepts apply to people of all ages. We encourage you to share and incorporate what you learn with your entire family!
(Before starting any nutrition management or exercise regimen, be sure to consult with your physician.)
